* Federal Communications Commission (FCC), said broadband internet requires a minimum download speed of up to 25 Mbps and an upload speed of up to 3 Mbps. FCC and service providers are supporting each other to find ways in bringing reliable connections to many Americans as possible. In fact, they are offering financial assistance like Emergency Broadband Benefit and Lifeline wherein it can help people to afford price and availability of the broadband.
* Most of the US broadband service providers are charting paths to offer multigigabit services in the coming years. The analyst firm predicted the number of fixed broadband lines in the U.S. will grow to 112.3 million by end-2026, up from 103.1 million in 2021. Within the timeframe, fiber is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10.8% to 28.2 million lines.
Telecommunication has been transferring information between business and individual for like two centuries now. Industry will surely rise up again after this pandemic, and more prepared for the next decades.
